The FBI is investigating an incident involving an unruly airplane passenger Wednesday that led to a United Airlines flight from the New York area being diverted to Dulles International Airport, officials said.
After departing Newark Liberty International Airport, Flight 1080 landed at Dulles about 10 a.m. and proceeded to the gate, the airline said in a statement.
