As rare as these bracelets are, they’re virtually impossible to find with the sign that accompanied them and lets you know where they came from (at the time of listing, this appears to be the ONLY auction with both the bracelet and the sign)! Bracelets were taped to all seatbacks during the morning skate on Monday prior to Game 3. The bracelet (and sign) on which you are bidding is brand new and has not been worn – I noticed on my way out of my section that it was still attached to the sign and taped to the seatback, so I grabbed both it and the sign.
If you’re viewing this auction, I’m sure you know the story. These bracelets were taped to every seat at the Wells Fargo Center for Game 3 of Round 1 of the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Washington Capitals and were used during the pregame show that also included a memorial tribute to late owner Ed Snider.
As the game got out of hand, a good number of bozos threw these onto the ice, were warned over the PA system to stop but did not, and the Flyers eventually got a penalty for the delay of game. The story was featured very prominently in the national (and local) media – AP, ESPN, etc.
The bracelet briefly lights up when tapped/touched, and alternates colors at each tap/touch between orange (Flyers!) and white (although the pictures make it look blueish) when you tap it. Bracelets appear to have an easily replaceable battery and say PIXMOB on the battery cover (see second to last picture).
Don’t let this piece of Philadelphia sports history get away like the auction you bid on and lost for the snowball thrown at Santa Claus!
